March 2nd-4th 2010 • Whistler, Canada

The conference is right in between the 2010 Winter Olympics and the 2010 Winter Paralympics held in Whistler and Vancouver. The slopes will be kept in prime condition for the upcoming Special Olympics. Whistler is predicting the mountain may be very empty for attendance during our dates so we may have the slopes to ourselves.

Follow the schedule in iCal. The actual daytime schedule will likely change.

8:30am - 9:30am Keynote talk
9:30am - 12:30pm Sprints 9:30am - 11:00am Scheduled talks on daily topic
11:00am - 12:30am Ad-hoc talks on daily topic
12:30pm - dark Skiing or other activities
6pm - 7:30pm Evening activity

Rooms and facilities are accessible all day if you don't want to ski, or just want to complete that last piece of code.

  • Day one: Introduction to Django
  • Day two: Django development
  • Day three: Real life case studies

So close to PyCon?

Annoying isn't it? I asked the Olympics to move, but they wouldn't. Sorry about that. For DjangoSki II, we'll probably be a little further away from PyCon. Besides, the skiing isn't as good in Atlanta.

Extending your stay

Be warned that it is almost impossible to get into Whistler in February, so extend the trip after the conference.
